pressconnects.com 10/09/04 News Story: "Kathleen F. Bucher, 82, of Binghamton, was treated Friday at a local hospital for minor injuries suffered when her car struck the front of the Giant Markets store at Robinson and Broad streets on the city's East Side.



The gas pedal on the car appeared to stick as the vehicle left the Partners Trust Bank drive-through window, witnesses told police.
Two employees inside the supermarket suffered minor injuries when hit by flying debris, police said. A large section of brick, 6 by 15 foot, was cracked open and a four-foot-high hole knocked into the front of the building by the car, according to the Binghamton Police Bureau. "
